Privacy policy

How CiteScope handles product monitoring data.

CiteScope monitors public AI-search outputs for your own brand and competitors you specify. This policy explains the data handled by that architecture.

Data handled

We use the business inputs needed to create reports.

Customer inputs

CiteScope may process account details, brand names, competitor names, prompts, workspace settings, plan information, and support messages you provide.

Monitoring results

CiteScope stores report outputs, cited sources, provider names, timestamps, and metadata needed to show visibility history for your workspace.

Boundaries

CiteScope is not designed for protected health information, payment card data, government IDs, secrets, or other regulated or sensitive data.

Processing

Prompts are sent to monitored AI providers.

To generate reports, CiteScope sends prompts containing your selected brand and competitor context to monitored AI-search and LLM providers. Those providers are sub-processors for this purpose.

Current sub-processors: Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (ChatGPT), Perplexity, Google Gemini.

Storage

How CiteScope stores your reports and account data.

AI answers

The AI answers CiteScope collects for your brand and competitors are stored so your weekly report can be generated. When a database is configured for your workspace, they are stored in Postgres.

Account data

Workspace records, plan details, report snapshots, timestamps, cited URLs, and related metadata are stored alongside your reports, in Postgres when a database is configured.

Current build

CiteScope is pre-launch. This policy describes how your data is handled in the product as it ships today.

Retention

History retention follows your plan.

Users can request deletion. When an account closes, customer data is purged from active product storage according to the applicable retention and deletion process.

Sharing

We share data only to operate and protect the service.

CiteScope may share data with service providers that host, store, process, support, or secure the product, including the sub-processors listed above. CiteScope may also disclose information when needed to comply with law, protect rights, prevent abuse, or complete a business transaction.

CiteScope does not sell customer monitoring data. Reports are intended for the workspace that configured the brand, competitors, and prompts.
